Pekiti-Tirsia Kali is a system of combat-proven strategy, tactics, and techniques executed through the principle of offense, counter-offense, and recounter-offense. Training instruction will provide students with clear and concise knowledge, understanding, and skills in blade fighting and its application to empty-hand as well as all-edged and impact-weapon combat. Training will cover the foundation methods of Pekiti-Tirsia and progress to advance application.

Different to other systems, Pekiti Tirsia Kali does therefore not offer colorful belts or fancy sashs for graduations, but you are preferred to seek the knowledge, skills and mindset required to preserve your and other people’s life and health in adverse situations.

Pekiti-Tirsia Kali is taught systematically: In a logical order the student learns first the important then the less important, progressing from the simple to the more complex. Thus every Kali student can grow into the system and understand the practical use of the exercises from the very beginning.

Beginners train a compact and easy-to-apply system for self-defense, which in it’s final stage becomes part of a “conflict-management system” that develops naturally from a complete understanding of fighting and self-defense. We train reality-tested methods for counter offense (defense) against empty hands and weapon attacks.

Intermediate students develop the strategies and techniques of Pekiti Tirsia Kali further. A lot of emphasis is given to technical variety. Also in this level particular attention is given to training by use of flow-drills.

Advanced students‘ technical knowledge of the variety enables the adaptation of methods and tactics to the individual needs of the fighter. This allows the fighter to adapt better to the always changing situations in reality.

The Fighter League is a continuation for all those who want to test their Courage and Fighting Skills with reduced or no protection. The fighter-level determines the kind of protection gear and rules used. In the highest level of the Fighter-League, fighting without any protection can be done in the Philippines, following the Total Submission Policy of Pekiti Tirsia Kali.
