GURO JAN CROENI, PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA
Guro of Pekiti Tirsia Kali, Representative and certified resident PTTA instructor, Director Pekiti Tirsia Tactical Association (PTTA), certified Stickmobility Coach, Svastha Yoga Teacher (250+RYT)
I started the Filipino Martial Art called Pekiti Tirsia Kali (PTK) under Tuhon Uli Weidle, Germany, in the 1990’s. PTK became my favourite and main martial art, its weapons and unarmed fighting system complemented my prior Judo and JuJuJutsu training very well.
I am a certified Guro of Pekiti Tirsia Kali, a certified PTTA instructor (Pekiti Tirsia Tactical Association) and group leader under the tutelage of Tuhon Rommel Tortal, Agalon Kit Acenas and Tuhon Jared Wihongi.
Teaching Kali fulfills three goals for me: share knowledge, share community and do good (our monthly fees are donated 100% to charities).
I am teaching Kali with Fightkoala in Perth since 2018. Before moving to Australia, I taught under the Fightpanda brand in Singapore between 2012-2017. It’s with great pride and happiness to see my former students continue the Pekiti Tirsia Kali tradition: Tushar Ismail, Singapore, Superflytactical and Arjun Shresta, Nepal, Aikido + PTK.
I live and teach according to Pekiti Tirsia’s philosophy:
We Believe in Life, Not in Death.
We Believe in Health, Not in Sickness.
We Believe in Success, Not in Failure.
